Tee shot shape drill — fade/draw on command
Golfer hits 6 drives with an intentional fade shape and 6 with an intentional draw shape, using the same alignment sticks as reference. Tracks success rate of shape execution and proximity to intended landing zone for each shape. Develops shot-shaping ability essential at the collegiate level.
Up-and-down challenge — 10-station rotation
10 cones placed around the practice green at varying distances (5-25 yards) and lies (uphill, downhill, tight, rough fringe). Golfer chips or pitches to each cone in rotation and must one-putt to complete the up-and-down. Score is recorded out of 10. Develops short-game decision making and execution under varied conditions.
Pressure 9-hole simulation
Golfer plays 9 holes of a simulated course at the practice facility using a full pre-shot routine on every shot. Each hole is played with a stroke target (par). Two tees or markers placed on the range simulate fairways. Full scorecard is recorded. Measures performance under self-imposed competitive pressure and routine consistency.
Launch monitor speed progression
Using a launch monitor (TrackMan, Foresight, or FlightScope), golfer performs 10 driver swings focusing on maximizing club head speed while maintaining contact quality. Tracks smash factor as the quality gate — speed gains only count when smash factor stays above 1.40.
Bunker escape accuracy drill
Golfer hits 10 sand shots from a greenside bunker — 5 from a flat lie, 5 from a buried or plugged lie. Each shot scored by proximity to the target flag. Measures entry angle consistency, sand contact, and the ability to control spin and distance from varied bunker conditions.
Lag putting 30-40-50 foot distance control
Golfer hits 5 putts from each of three long distances — 30, 40, and 50 feet — to a target hole. Measures proximity of each putt. Focuses on pace judgment, green reading, and eliminating three-putts from long range. Three-putts are tracked as failures.
Flop shot over obstacle
Golfer hits 10 high-trajectory flop shots over a range barrier (or foam roller obstacle) to a tight flag 10-15 yards away. Develops the ability to produce a high, soft-landing shot with an open face. Measures clearance rate, landing accuracy, and spin control.
50-100-150 yard approach accuracy
Golfer hits 5 balls from each of three distances — 50, 100, and 150 yards — to a target flag. Measures proximity to hole for each distance band. Uses a consistent pre-shot routine for each shot. Develops distance control and repeatable iron contact.
Pressure 100-putt challenge
Golfer hits 100 putts divided as: 30 from 3 feet, 30 from 6 feet, 20 from 10 feet, and 20 lag putts from 20+ feet. Total makes tracked as a score out of 100. The 3-foot and 6-foot putts simulate must-make pressure scenarios. Three-putts on lag holes count as -1 from total. Used to benchmark putting performance across all ranges.
Pressure approach — clock face drill
8 balls placed around the green at 4 compass points (N/S/E/W) and 4 intermediate points, each 30 yards from the flag. Golfer hits approach shots from each clock position with a scoring format — inside 6 feet scores 3 points, inside 15 feet scores 1 point. Total out of 24. Develops 360-degree approach versatility.
Gate drill — straight 6-foot putt
Two tees are placed just wider than the putter head 6 inches in front of the ball, forming a gate. Golfer putts 20 balls from 6 feet on a straight line to the cup. The ball must pass through the gate cleanly. Any contact with the tee gates counts as a miss. Develops a square face at impact and consistent path.
On-course fitness walk — 18-hole carry round
Golfer walks all 18 holes carrying their own bag (no cart) on a full-length course. Tracks average heart rate, total steps, total distance, and how scoring consistency holds up in the back nine compared to the front nine — measuring whether physical fatigue affects shot quality and decision-making over a full round.
3-6-9-12 foot ladder drill
Golfer places one ball at 3, 6, 9, and 12 feet from the same hole. Must sink all four in sequence — if any is missed the sequence restarts from 3 feet. Target: complete the full ladder 3 times. Develops distance control and pace judgment across varying lengths under pressure.
9-ball landing zone drill
Golfer hits 9 drives aiming at three target landing zones on the range — left, center, and right of a fairway corridor. Three balls per zone. Focuses on shot shape control, alignment, and repeatable tee-ball delivery under light pressure.
9-iron to lob wedge distance gapping
Golfer hits 3 balls with each club from 9-iron through lob wedge (5 clubs), recording carry distance and dispersion for each. Identifies distance gaps in the short-iron bag, which is critical for course management and club selection under tournament conditions.
Goal Kicking Accuracy Series
Kicker attempts 3 kicks from each of 6 positions around the posts. Measures accuracy by position, distance, and technique across left and right sides.
Offloading Under Pressure
Ball carrier hits into a tackler and attempts to offload to a support runner before going to ground. Support runners arrive from varying angles.
Rugby Agility T-Test
Player runs the T-test: sprint 10m, shuffle 5m left, shuffle 10m right, shuffle 5m back to center, backpedal 10m. Two timed attempts. Rugby-specific agility benchmark.
Repeated Sprint Ability Test
Player completes 6 x 30-meter sprints with 20 seconds rest between. Measures repeated sprint speed, speed maintenance, and fatigue index critical for rugby.
Line Speed Blitz Drill
Defensive line aligns on cones and bursts up on a signal to intercept an attacking line. Focuses on aligned speed, staying flat, and communication across the line.

Outfield Route Efficiency
Coach hits fly balls to variable depths and angles. Outfielder must take the correct first step, read the arc, run an efficient route, and make the catch.
Infield Rapid Fire Ground Balls

Pitcher throws 20 curveballs and 20 sliders, focused on wrist position and consistent break. Coach measures zone entry vs break end point and tunnel quality.
Pull-Out Streamline Timing
Swimmer executes the breaststroke underwater pull-out: hold streamline, complete one arm pull, one kick, and glide before surfacing. Focuses on timing and minimizing resistance.
Two-Beat Kick Timing Drill

Players run home to first, first to third, and second to home separately timed, then the full circuit. Builds sprint speed, rounding, and game-situation conditioning.
Box Out & Secure Drill
Two players contest a simulated missed shot. Defensive rebounder must box out and secure at the highest point. Coach shoots intentional misses from 3 spots.

17s Full-Court Suicide
Player sprints baseline to baseline 17 times in under 60 seconds. Classic basketball conditioning benchmark for cardiovascular capacity and mental toughness.
1v1 Defensive Containment
Defender faces a dribbling attacker in a 1v1 channel. Must delay, jockey, and force the attacker away from goal without committing.
High Crotch to Single Leg
Wrestler shoots a high crotch entry and transitions to a single leg finish: trip, run the pipe, or dump to the mat. Develops the entry and multiple finishes.

Thrower practices the glide or rotational approach and releases the shot. 6 measured attempts with technique feedback on hip lead, torque, and release angle.
Bull Rush & Spin Counter
Defensive lineman executes bull rush for 3 reps then counters with a spin move for 3 reps. Coach grades pad level, hand placement, and finish to the QB bag.
Mikan Layup Circuit
Player performs the Mikan drill alternating layups off the glass from each side. Extends to reverse layups and hook shots. Builds touch, footwork, and rim finishing.
Two-Ball Stationary Dribble
Player dribbles two balls simultaneously through a sequence: alternating, same-time, crossover, and behind-the-back. Progresses to movement patterns.
First-to-Third Read Drill
Runner starts at first, reads a ball hit to the outfield, and rounds second while making the third-base coach read. Measures read speed, rounding angle, and time to third.

Outfielder takes a drop step on a fly ball hit over their head at variable angles. Must track, position, and secure the catch while on the run.
5-Step Drop & Fire
QB takes a 5-step drop and delivers to one of three targets at 10, 15, and 20 yards. Coach calls target at the top of the drop. Tests footwork, timing, and decisions.
Change-Up Tunneling Drill
Pitcher alternates fastball and change-up with the same arm action and release point. Catcher grades tunnel quality and arm speed deception.

Sprawl & Recovery Drill
Shooter attacks; defensive wrestler sprawls hips back to defend. Focuses on hip timing, weight distribution, and recovery to neutral. 10 reps per role.
Repeated Sprint Test On Ice
Player skates repeated 80-foot sprints with 15 seconds rest until a time threshold is missed. Measures skating-specific anaerobic capacity and speed endurance.
Fingertip Drag Catch Drill
Swimmer drags fingertips along the water surface during freestyle recovery. Encourages high elbow recovery, proper shoulder rotation, and a controlled hand entry.
Pressure Point Simulation
Coach simulates break point, set point, and match point scenarios. Player must serve and rally to measure composure and shot selection under pressure.
Baton Exchange Zone Drill

Sprint 40 yards, jog 20 yards, sprint 10 yards in reverse. Simulates burst-recovery-burst demand. Performed in sets of 4 with 30-second rest.
Wall Ball Reps
Player stands 5-10 ft from a wall throwing and catching repeatedly, alternating hands. Focuses on soft hands, quick release, and cradle mechanics.
Flying 30-Meter Run
Athlete builds speed over a 20-meter acceleration zone then hits a timed flying 30-meter section. Measures pure top-end speed and running mechanics. 3 timed efforts.
Spider Drill
Player sprints to collect 5 balls from 5 court positions and returns each to the center. Standard tennis footwork and conditioning benchmark.
Defensive Slide Gauntlet
Defender shuffles laterally through a 5-cone gauntlet mirroring a ball handler. Coach calls direction changes. Tests lateral quickness, stance, and reaction.

Player receives a cross-court feed and redirects with a down-the-line backhand. Focuses on early preparation, contact point, and follow-through.
800m Race Simulation
Athlete runs a solo 800m effort at race pace. Tracked for 200m splits and ability to maintain speed in the final 200 meters. Used to assess race-specific fitness.
Cradle Breakdown Series
Wrestler works from referee's position to break a partner down, attack a near or far-side cradle, and work to a pin.
Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test
Players perform repeated 20-meter shuttles with a 10-second recovery walk. Speed increases progressively until failure. Standard aerobic capacity benchmark for soccer.
Pro Agility 5-10-5
Sprint 5 yards right, plant and sprint 10 yards left, return 5 yards. Classic combine drill measuring short-area quickness and change of direction.
Double Leg Shot Drill
Wrestler practices the double leg takedown: level change, penetration step, drive-through, and finish to the mat. Alternates from left and right foot leads.
Return of Serve Consistency

Sealing the Block Drill
Blocker moves laterally to the set position and closes the block against a coach-signaled attack zone. Focuses on penetrating the net and sealing the angle.
Vertical Jump & Plyometric Circuit
Athlete completes: standing vertical jump, box jump, depth jump, and broad jump. Tracks explosive power, ground contact time, and bilateral vs unilateral output.
Fireman's Carry Drill
